Gentiles are not spiritual Yisrael

All understanding comes from the writings of the prophets (Old Testament or Tanach: they are one and the same) in light of the Mashiach’s death for our sin, His burial and His resurrection the third day. The Law and the Prophets prophesy or foretell the Christ’s death for our sins, His burial and His resurrection the third day. Yeshua of Nazareth is the Mashiach.

“For I could wish that myself were accursed (anethema) from the Mashiach for my brethren, my kinsman according to the flesh, who are of Yisrael, to whom the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the Torah, and the service (in the temple), and the promises (of the Tanach), who is of the fathers, and of whom according to the flesh is the Mashiach, who is over all, God, blessed through the ages. Amen! (It is true!) Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Yisrael, which are of Yisrael, neither because they are the seed of Avraham, are they all children, but, ‘In Isaac shall thy seed be called’. That is, they which are the children of the flesh, these are not the chidlren of God, but the children of promise are counted for the seed.”-Romans 9

For they are not all Yisrael, which are of Yisrael: Beloved, this needs to be read carefully in the grace of God. Yacob’s name was changed to Yisrael by God. Now there are twelve tribes of Yisrael, but not all the tribes are of Yisrael, that is Yacob. Two tribes, Ephraim and Manassah were of Joseph. Not all Yisrael, is of Yisrael. It is God who makes choice, and the choosing is not of the will of a man. Then Paul continues, neither because they are the seed of Avraham, are they all children, but, ‘in Isaac shall thy seed be called’. Avraham had two sons, Isaac and Esau. Esau was the oldest, and entitled to the birthright, and it was Isaac, the youngest, who was chosen the child of promise before he had done any evil or good according to the will of God. So too, were Joseph’s two sons given a portion of the land, not according to birthright but according to promise which is of the will of God. So election is according to the will of God and not according to the flesh. The children of promise chosen by God are the children of God. Whether it be the younger as with Isaac, or whether it be two sons of the eleventh son, Joseph, before they did any evil or good, before the foundations of the world, God chose them.

And now with right understanding there is no spiritual Yisrael to speak of the Gentiles. The assembly of God is made up of Yudah, and Yisrael and Gentiles ,of all nations in love without partiality. Yisrael is Yisrael, as the nations (gowy) are the nations. And the nations of saved shall bring their glory to the new Yerushalem in eternity to come.

Beloved, if we do not understand “the children of promise”, we will be deceived. There is a geneology in Luke chapter 3. Verse 23 states, “And Yeshua himself began to be about 30 years of age being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph.” This is a false geneology of Yeshua. It says “as was supposed”. Supposed but not true. The seed of promise is through David and his son, Solomon. In verse 31, this geneology is through David’s son Nathan, who is not the seed of promise. Evidently (in the grace of God) Luke so mentioned this false geneology of the Mashiach, because someone was making a false boast in the flesh of his geneology and a false connection to the Mashiach. It must have been wide spread enough that Luke mentions it in this letter that would be circulated throughout the assemblies. Understand by grace, the children of promise who are the children of God, who are the children of grace, who are the children of the one true gospel.

There could be one more passage in the writings of the apostolos where one could get the false doctrine of spiritual Yisrael. As if God would reject the people He gave His name to. Yisrael, the very word in the Hebrew means “God will prevail” or “God rules”. The very name of Yisrael prophecies of the Mashiach. And the false doctrine of spiritual Yisrael will say that God has rejected his people who are called by His name and the Gentiles (the nations) have replaced them. Foolishness in the grace of God! In Galatians 6:15-16 it is written, “For in the Mashiach, Yeshua, neither circumcision, nor uncircumcision have any strength (There is not advantage being a Jew (of Yudah) or Gentile (of the nations) concerning the choosing of God who gives grace to whom He chooses. For God makes choice of who is given grace before Jew or Gentile have done any evil or good, according to His good pleasure. The choosing is not according to birthright, or blood line or the will of men, but of the will of God, and this is the new creation). And as many walk according to this rule, peace on them, and mercy and upon the Yisrael of God.” (But as many walk by this rule that there is no advantage between Jew and Gentile, and that God makes choice before any man has done any evil or good according to His good pleasure alone. As many as walk by this rule, peace on them. And with Yisrael never forsaken, for they are called by His name, mercy upon God’s Yisrael, for this a prayer according to the purpose of God, as it is written, “all Yisrael shall be saved”.

Oh, high-minded Gentiles there is no spiritual Yisrael, just as there is no advantage being Gentile or Jew, uncircumcision or circumcision, in the choosing of God. The choosing of God is the new creation, born from above, the children of promise, made of Jew and Gentile alike, male and female, bond and free.

So then Gentiles (or we could say the nations other than Yisrael) are not made into a spiritual Yisrael when converted. As God choses the children of promise from Avraham and Yisrael as He sees fit, so to He choses from all nations as He sees fit, for his assembly made up of those of Yudah and the nations. They were chosen before they did any evil or good, before the foundations of the world. Before Yisrael was God chose them. Before the Gentiles were idol worshippers, God chose them. Before those of Yudah rejected the Mashiach God chose them. Before the time of the Gentiles have been fulfilled in this generation, God chose us. All whom God has chosen and given grace according to His will is the remnant of God, the election of grace. We, the chosen ones, are made a peculiar and unique people, a royal priesthood to our God, and if we endure to the end we shall abide in His presence for ever and ever. It is true! Remember as it is prophesied the priests have no inheritance in the land: there inheritance is their God! Look at Yeshua ha Mashiach in grace and you will understand. If indeed God has given you grace.

Romans 3:28-29: No Gentile is a Spiritual Jew

Beloved, I want to write on this verse in particular, because from it comes the thought of Gentiles being spiritual Jews. This is a great error. The word “Jew” is a shortened word taken from those of the kingdom of Yudah. There was the kingdom of Yisrael (eleven tribes) and the kingdom of Yudah. The kingdom of Yudah is only one tribe, Yudah. The kingdom of Yisrael was conquered and dispersed by the Assyrians in 722 BC. The kingdom of Yudah was conquered and dispersed by the Babylonians in 586 BC.  There was never a formal decree for the kingdom of Yisrael to return back to the land, as there was with Yudah to return back to the land by Cyrus 70 years after the judgment of Yerushalem by Nebuchadnezzar. Those of Yudah first returned back to the land and were primarily the inhabitants of the land of Yudah when Yeshua was born, lived, crucified, died, was buried and rose again. It was those of Yudah who were the primary inhabitants of the land when the Romans brought judgment purposed and foretold by God upon Yerushalem in 70 AD. So when we read the word “Jew” in the New Testament, this means mainly those of  Yudah, the kingdom of Yudah. They had had the temple and the priesthood until the “not one stone left standing upon another” judgment of Yerushalem in 70 AD. “Jew” today has come to mean all the  descendant of the twelve tribes whether of the eleven northern tribes, or the one southern tribe. There is much more I could say on this subject, but may I get to my point.

Going to Romans chapter 3 now. Gentiles are not spiritual Jews. Just as those of Yudah of the tribe of Yudah are not spiritual members of any other tribe, or spiritual Gentiles. They are only of the tribe of Yudah, and spiritually belong to no other. And all of the twelve tribes are of Yisrael. And the Gentiles, gowy (gow-ee) in the Hebrew, or more accurate “the nations” are not anything other than the nation they are. Now under the Torah a stranger could be of Yisrael, and abide with the inhabitants of a tribe, but not be a priest. They would be called of Yisrael, and dwell with a certain tribe. Now their children could marry and their children could then be of  a certain tribe, depending on who they married. The gospel preached to Avraham is “in thy seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.” All the nations are called Gentiles (gowy) along with “the nation” called by the name of God, Yisrael. Yehovah gave Yacob’s sons and their descendants His name, as the name of their nation, Yisrael.  There is no spiritual “this nation” or “that nation”. All nations are as God has ordained, so that He can equally without partiality bless all nations in the Mashiach. Yeshua of Nazareth is the Son of God raised from the dead, the Mashiach of the one true God. And the one true God is “Yehovah”, meaning “I am”, and “Elohiym”, meaning the “God of all gods”: there is none beside Him. And the only begotten Son of God sits at His right hand until He, God, makes His enemies his foot stool.

I will first say concerning Romans 3:28-29 this is  hard passage to translate. I will give a clear interpretation in Spirit of the passage so there will be no place for error. The italics are my additions.

“Just because you are obviously a Jew in appearance (physical appearance or geneology), or obviously circumcised in the flesh, does not mean that you are circumcised in heart.  For when a Jew is circumcised in heart, it is not obvious, but it is hidden. It is in spirit, and not in letter. And the Jew who is circumcised in heart does not have the praise of men, but the praise is  from God.”

As you see, beloved, there is no “spiritual Jew” in this passage. Gentiles are not “spiritual Jews”, but out of Yudah, Yisrael, and Gentiles are “the children of promise”, the assembly of the living God, the saved of God who endure to the end. Whether Jew or Gentile the circumcision of the heart. Not all of Yisrael were of Yisrael, for two were of Yoseph. Read this last sentence carefully and read the scriptures of the prophets. (Old Testament, Tanach)
