“The Christ, Yeshua, tasted death for every man”

These are not my words but the words of Paul in Hebrews 2:9:
“But we see Yeshua (by the scriptures of the prophets through grace according to the will of God) who was made a little lower than the messengers (prophets) for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor. That He by the grace of God should taste death for all men.”

When God chooses a man by grace He places him in the resurrected Mashiach seated at the right hand throne of God. Thus as Paul says, “we are crucified with Him”, “we are buried with Him” and “we are raised with Him”. He has been judged in our stead. He has been buried for us. He is raised to newness of life. For those who are chosen by God in the Christ, Yeshua, they have died and have been buried with Christ. He is their substitute. He was judged for them-the righteous judgment of God. And because of this they are given the gift of eternal life in the Christ, Yeshua. Life that has no ending. Life that does not pause for the grave (sheol), but endures for ever.

Knowing this, that because of the Yeshua the Mashiach, the believer never dies, but simply puts off his body of flesh. “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” Knowing this, the believer understands that as he remains in grace he cannot find himself under the judgment of God.

All this said, in Matthew 24 Yeshua talked of a “great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” This was the judgment that fell upon Israel in 70 AD-the “not one stone upon another” judgment. The great tribulation was the judgment of God. And I tell you, dear saints, not one believer perished or partook of the judgment of God in that generation. And I tell you not one believer was raptured out like it is commonly taught today. And yet God accomplished His purpose in the Christ, Yeshua in saving a people, the assembly of the living God, made up of Jews and Gentiles, male and female, bond and free.

And so what do the false prophets say now. They say there is a great tribulation coming unlike any judgment that has ever come. These words are contrary to the very words of Christ Jesus who said that tribulation of 70AD was the greatest. Some say believers will be raptured before the tribulation despite the fact that there is no witness in the scriptures to any believer being raptured (as it is taught) from judgment. Oh, highminded Gentiles! Some say believers will have to go through half the great tribulation. This is contrary to the Christ. Others say believers will have to go through all the great tribulation- all the judgment of God-this is contrary to Christ. The false prophets are the blind leading the blind. And if they do not repent of being false prophets they shall most certainly perish-they and those who follow them. God is in control of all things!

And so what awaits the earth. There have been seven trumpets sounded and seven thunder uttered, the very warnings of God of impending judgment. The judgment of Babylon awaits. We say, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen”. Her judgment is sure and true. This is the time of the great apostasy and the man of sin, the son of perdition, the antichristos, the false prophet has been revealed. For he is contrary to the very words of Christ, “a prophet is not without honor except in his homeland.” And how the prophets are honored today. How they honor one another not preaching the offense of the cross. “The day of Christ is at hand.” To all who are found in grace they will never suffer death, or the second death, the very judgment of God. For the Christ, Yeshua, tasted death for every man, especially those who believe.
