My mother and my brother and my sister

These are not my words, beloved, but the words of Yeshua: “For whosoever shall do the will of My Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister and mother.” Yeshua preferred those who abided in the word of God over His earthly, fleshly family. He gave the children of grace preference without partiality. For if the world hates and rejects the children of light, and the followers of Mashiach also reject and hate the children of grace, who will love them in the earth? None! Yeshua Himself said, they will know you are followers of the Mashiach by your love one to another. Doing good to all people, especially those of the household of faith.

Now there stood by the cross of Yeshua His mother, and the disciple by, whom He loved (Yohan), and his mother’s sister, Miraym of Cleopas, and Miraym Magdalene. When Yeshua therefore saw His mother, and the disciple standing by, whom He loved, He saith to His mother, “Woman, behold thy son.” Then saith He to the disciple, “Behold thy mother.” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.

And so from that moment Yohan was Miraym’s son, and Miraym was Yohan’s mother. He who was not a son in the flesh, was made a son, and she who was not a mother in the flesh was made a mother to him. This too is how it is, when God gives grace to people. They who were not a mother, or a brother or a sister are made a mother and brother and sister. Our earthly family is taken from us, and families are given to us. This is how it is in the grace of God.

“Verily I say unto you, there is no man (or woman) that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, for my sake and the gospel’s, that shall receive a hundredfold NOW IN THIS TIME, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, AND PERSECUTIONS, and in the world to come life that does not cease.” (Mark 10:29ff) “To be absent from the body is to present with the Lord.”
