“The Apostolos” Doctrine

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized, and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued in the apostolos’ doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostolos. And all that believed were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions and parted them to all as every man had need. And they continued daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, and did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.  (Act 2)

Then they that gladly received his word were “baptizo” (dipped in the name of Yeshua), and the same day there were added (by God according to His will and grace) unto them (the assembly of the living God) about three thousand souls . And they continued in the apostolos’ doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostolos. And all that believed were together and had all things in common and sold their possessions and parted them to all as every man had need. And they continued daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, and did eat their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the assembly daily such as should be saved.

All who gladly receive his word,  have first been given grace by God to accept the one true gospel. Then they gladly receive His word, the gospel. And the gospel is the Christ, Yeshua, died for our sins according to the Tanach, He was buried and He rose again the third day according to the Tanach. Paul, a pattern of the longsuffering of God, received grace and gladly received His word. How wonderful is the grace of God that men gladly receive the gospel, gladly receive the Christ, gladly receive Yeshua of Nazareth. And God adds to the assembly such as He would have to be saved whether 3000 or none.

And they continued in apostolos’ doctrine and fellowship. The apostolos did not continue in the 3000’s doctrine. And as the 3000 continued in the apostolos doctrine and fellowship, so did the apostolos continue in the doctrine of the Christ and fellowship with the saints. There are some who judge according to the flesh that it is the apostolos who continue in other’s doctrine. I would say what is the other’s doctrine? What other doctrine is there but the apostolos’ doctrine. The gift of apostolos is not discerned. For all are not apostolos. And where the gift of apostolos is, there will be fellowship for the brethren: this is the grace of God. And where there is the apostolos’ doctrine there will be the breaking of bread and prayers.

And fear came upon every soul, of all who were in the assembly placed there by God: fear of God’s great love for men without partiality.

And all that believed were together and had all things in common in spirit, and sold their possessions and parted them to all as every man had need. As a man might have a need, then they sold their possessions to meet that need. They did not sell their possession with the possibility a man had a need. The faith of Yeshua is not one of uncertainty, but of certainty. They sold their possessions when a man had a need. They waited upon the Lord for His purpose to be accomplished. There was a readiness of mind in the assembly of God, even if no man had a need. This is the grace of God.

And they continued daily with one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, and did eat their food with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. They continued with one accord: in the temple, breaking bread from house to house, eating bread, and in all things having a gladness in the Lord and a singleness of heart, and praising God. And by the grace of God and His work they had favor with all the people at this time. Though in the days of the flesh the chosen ones of God might not be in the favor of the people, but there might be persection for a time by the people. I wish you were as I am, but for these bonds.

Whenever I read this passage, beloved, I think of the Lord adding to the assembly 3000 to be saved. I think of them being together and of a same mind and heart at the beginning of this generation, a generation of judgement. And then I think of the end of that generation, 40 years later, and the needful edification at that time, “exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitful of sin”, and in another place, “not forsaking the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner with some, but exhorting one another, and so much more, as ye see the day approaching”, “the day of judgment” that would fall upon Yerushalem in 70 AD. Not one child of grace perished in that judgment, and they were not raptured as it is spoken about today. They walked away from judgment with the understanding of the Lord. They were together at the beginning and needed exhortation to be together at the end of that generation. “He that endureth to the end shall be saved”. Look at the Christ, Yeshua, and do not fall short of His completed faith. “The just one shall live by faith”. It is written.
