The one true gospel is the Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, He was buried and He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Yeshua of Nazareth is the Christ of God. The one true gospel can be preached and preached and apart from God’ s grace cannot be accepted. It is only when in the midst of the preaching of the one true gospel God gives grace that a person can accept the one true gospel. Acceptance of the one true gospel by grace is a pure work of the grace of God. The gospel can be preached and some can be left with faith, and others can be left with no faith. Why? This is the election of God who choses men before they have done any evil or good. (Rom 9) He choses us from before the foundations of the earth (Eph 1). God choses us before the foundation of the earth, before we did any evil or good, so that the election would be of grace and God alone, and not the will of the flesh, or the will of man. (John 1)
So we see that the acceptance of the gospel is not of the will of man, but it is solely of the will of God and His true grace. How contrary the right understanding of the gospel is, to the thoughts of this generation of judgment. “You can make a decision for Jesus” or say a sinners prayer, or decide to join a church building, or be water baptised, they say. All these things are contrary to Christ and the one true gospel. These are of the will of man.
So if the acceptance of the gospel is not of man, and only of God, when grace is given, that which was rejected prior is now accepted. In the moment of grace there is a wonderment of that which was heard in the ear possibly many times, was now made an established truth. It was established by the will and grace of God. Acceptance of the one true gospel by the will and grace of God establishes the gospel in the mind of the new follower of Yeshua. The new follower is not alone for “we have the mind of the CHrist.” The new follower of Yeshua glories in this good message, that the Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, He was buried and He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. That which is bad before, is made good now. That which was death before, is made life now. And following the acceptance of grace comes much understanding. Understanding of the love of God. Understanding of the scriptures of the prophets. Understanding of the eternal purpose of God in the Christ, Yeshua of Nazareth. I could go on and on in this new found understanding of the child of grace, but time does not permit.
It is this one true gospel that is the power of God in the hearing of men and women. Power to change men and their thoughts by the acceptance of the one true gospel by grace. (This is repentance, and there is the forgiveness of sins.) And understanding does not usurp the preaching of the one true gospel. Doctrine does not usurp the preaching of the one true gospel.
There is great security in the one true gospel. The one true gospel, the power of God, is able to teach men right understanding. It is able to keep men who were born from above or again from error, despite being previously before grace the children of error. There can be error in the midst of the preaching of the one true gospel but it will not stand, only for a short time, as Peter who disassembled from the Gentile followers of the Christ, but there was also the rebuke of Paul that restored him. Let me say there would be no rebuke by Paul if he did not preach the one true gospel. The one true gospel can be preached in envy and strife, but in Philippians Paul says no matter what the motive is, always rejoice that the one true gospel is preached. If the one true gospel is not preached, there will be false doctrine, divisions (called denominations), quarrels, and disassembling.
So, o man, who comes to me, and judges me right or wrong, I ask you, do you preach the one true gospel. I come to you first by the one true gospel, and you have not rejoiced, I question whether you stand in the true grace of God. If the one true gospel is not preached by a man, can he have the understanding that is only found in Christ? No! It cannot be! He never walked in grace, or he has fallen from grace. Judge all things by the one true gospel, and then God will make all things right. If you judge apart from the one true gospel, by your understanding (this is called doctrine), you most certainly judge falsely and condemn yourself by your own words. You are nigh to speaking against the very Spirit of God. (This is called blasphemy of the holy Spirit: the unforgiveable sin.)
Judge these words by the one true gospel, if indeed you walk in the true grace of God.
