All understanding comes from the writings of the prophets (Old Testament or Tanach: they are one and the same) in light of the Mashiach’s death for our sin, His burial and His resurrection the third day. The Law and the Prophets prophesy or foretell the Christ’s death for our sins, His burial and His resurrection the third day. Yeshua of Nazareth is the Mashiach.
Beloved, Paul’s conversion is a pattern of conversion for all the children of grace. There was no “free will” of Paul’s involved in his conversion, only the will of God, and it is so for all the election of grace. There are some who say you must be baptized to receive grace, to accept the one true gospel. God has made you a liar when He converted Paul and also the household of Cornelius. Dipped in water followed grace and receiving the Spirit, endued with power on high. There are some that say you must speak in tongues first before grace can come to you. God has made you a liar. But apart from the grace of God no man can receive the things of God. Paul did not make a decision for Christ. God the Father made a decision to grant Paul grace to see and accept Yeshua in the one true gospel. And the one true gospel is the Mashiach, Yeshua of Nazareth, died for our sins according to the Tanach (Old Testament), He was buried and He rose again the third day according to the Old Testament (Tanach). Paul’s conversion is the pattern for all who are converted by God. (1 Tim 1) Now if a believer gives his testimony and it is contrary to the pattern of Paul, then it should be questioned. If a conversion of a person is described in a past generation and is contrary to the pattern given by God of Paul, it must be rejected, for we are unable to question the person. We do not know. It is not trustworthy. I would not recommend it to the saints.
Now let us talk about the doctrine of Paul. Paul’s doctrine is His understanding of and in the Mashiach. “The reason I, Paul, am a prisoner of Yeshua ha Mashiach, is for you Gentiles (nations), if you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace given me for you. How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I wrote before in a few words, whereby when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of the Mashiach), which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men (the prophets), as it is now revealed unto his holy apostolos and prophets by the Spirit, that the nations should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Mashiach by the gospel. Where of I was made a servant, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of His power.”
What is acceptable error in the matter of doctrine? What error is acceptable with the apostolos to the saving of souls from the judgment that awaited that generation after the Mashiach? What error was acceptable with Yeshua in accomplishing God’s eternal purpose? There can be no error, beloved, and this can only be by the one true gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. Now Paul wrote concerning the Mashiach and he wrote in Spirit and in truth. He told no lies. There was no error. I judge this by the one true gospel. Paul declared the whole counsel of God, not part. (Acts) Now brethren since the time of the apostolos we have had before us sound doctrine spoken and then written (New Testament). The gates of sheol shall not prevail against the assembly of God. In all generations this is true. So sound doctrine has not been forgotten, only the one true gospel forsaken, and this by the will of God. For “heresias” (opinion) you will have with you always to approve those of the truth, and the understanding of the gospel is not opinion. When the one true gospel is forsaken there will be all manner of false teaching. Many times false doctrine has been declared to be the enemy of the church, and this is not true. For before there came false doctrine the one true gospel was not preached. No, beloved, the holders of false doctrine did not preach the one true gospel: they forsook the one true gospel. There has been great effort put into some doctrine, which may sound wonderful, like the doctrine of grace, and the gospel forsaken. No person can have spiritual understanding apart from the preaching of the one true gospel. The admonishment to all the children of grace in all generations is to preach the gospel in season and out of season.
Before there can be sound doctrine without error there must be the preaching of the one true gospel. And the one true gospel can only be preached by the will and grace of God. If it is said “doctrine is revived” and the one true gospel is not preached, then doctrine is not revived. The gospel is the power of God to bring forth right doctrine: to bring forth right understanding. Doctrine is not the power of God. Doctrine cannot keep doctrine, only the one true gospel can keep true doctrine, and you too, beloved. Yes, beloved, if the one true gospel is preached, right doctrine will follow. And right doctrine will be kept, if the one true gospel is preached. If God continues to give grace, then the one true gospel will be preached. (I say this so we would not be presumptuous.) If God does not grant grace for the gospel to be preached, it will not be preached. And the false prophets will be speaking out of their own breath, “Thus saith the Lord”, as they do over and over in our day and hour.
It is said that out of the false prophets come good doctrine and bad. This is foolishness. There will only be sound doctrine or doctrines of false accusers (diabolos or devil).
Beloved, what good does it do, to preach the gospel for a season, and then not endure. What good does it do to holdfast to the gospel for a season and fall away? Will we say that he spoke words of truth, and make our boast in him, and he did this before he fell away. Will we say he did much good before he fell away? He gave us much but he fell away. “He that endureth to the end shall be saved.” To fall away before enduring to the end, is as Yeshua spoke, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeths. If the messenger falls away, what good are his words? None! If there was truth, and he falls away, there is only a lying spirit at the end, and the spirit behind all his words will be lies.
If you are messenger of God and you speak error, and the one true gospel is not decalred from your mouth. there had better be quick restoration that only comes from God, like a rebuke from a spiritual one (Gal 2), or God will give them up to a reprobate mind to believe a lie. These who fall away are those who are spoken of in like manner, “messengers which kept not their first state (grace), but left their own habitation (the assembly and the gospel and grace and the one faith of Yeshua), He hath reserved in chains that cannot be broken under darkness to the judgment of the great day.” Reject doctrine that is contrary to the one true gospel. Better to not know, that to know a lie. False doctrine in any way is not trustworthy to the saving of the soul. Let God be your teacher. And abide in the place where the one true gospel is preached. For where the one true gospel is preached, God will be the teacher. For there in the midst of the preaching of the one true gospel will be sound doctrine which shall be kept, and so will you.
Show me of all the iniquities of the false prophets when they have repented of their iniquity of preaching no gospel and false doctrine. They do not! For they cannot! Let God be true and every person a liar.
