Did Yeshua speak of “hell” more than any other topic?

All understanding comes through the scriptures of the prophets (Old Testament) as they fortell the Mashiach’s death for our sins, His burial and His resurrection the third day. Yeshua of Nazareth is the Meshiach. If we understand not God’s eternal purpose in Yeshua we have no spiritual understanding.

Recently it was stated to me (and I have heard this before) that Yeshua spoke of “hell” more than any other topic, even more than judgment. This man told me this is why we need to have more fire and brimstone preaching. Fire and brimstone preaching apart from the one true gospel will not bring people into salvation. It is only by the preaching of the one true gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation, that people will enter into so great salvation. Many are called, few are chosen. He that endures to the end shall be saved. It is by preaching of the one true gospel that right understanding is given, the right understanding of Yeshua ha Mashiach.

Let me first start with word “hell” in the Old Testament (OT), and then afterwards go to the New. (I use the KJV English translation.) The word “hell” is found 31 times in the OT. 31 times “hell” is transliterated from the Hebrew word “sheol” (Strongs HEB# 7585). The word “sheol” is found 65 times in the OT: 31 times translated “grave”, 31 times translated “hell” and 3 times translated “pit”. Rest assured all 65 times the Hebrew word “sheol” is found in the OT it could be translated “grave” or written “sheol”.

In the New Testament the word “hell” is found 23 times”: 12 times it is transliterated from the Hebrew word, “gehennah” (Strong’s GR# 1067), 10 times transliteraed from Greek word, “hades” (Strong’s GR# 86), and 1 time transliterated from the Greek word, “tartoros” (Strong’s GR# 5020).

“Hell” is found 14 times in the words of Yeshua: 10 times translated from “gehennah”, and 4 times translated from “hades”. The Hebrew word, gehennah, is derived from two Hebrew words, meaning the valley of Hinnon. The attached link will show you where this valley is in relationship to Yerushalem. (http://scriptures.lds.org/biblemaps/12) It is this valley, that became synonomous the place of judgment. It is in this valley that Yisarel partook of offering their children (infants) on the altar of the god of Molech, no god at all.  The valley of Hinnon became synonomous with judgment on the earth because of the abominations that occurred there. When this sin is committed, offering infants to a god that is no god, judgment becomes a sure thing. (Like in our day and hour when those who call themselves Christians offer the child in the womb to gods  that are no gods on the altar of abortion. Yes, beloved, Christians aborting babies. If those who call themselves Christians would stop aborting babies how many would not be aborted.) There is no reference in the scriptures of the prophets (Old Testament) of an eternal judgment associated with Gehennah, only the finality of the judgment of God on the earth.  When Yeshua speaks of “Gehennah”, He speaks of judgment. And the judgment He warned of was the “not one stone standing upon another” judgment that would fall upon Yerushalem in 70 AD. 10 of the 14 times “hell” is used in the words of Yeshua, Gehenna has been wrongly translated. This leaves four other passages with the word “hell” translated from “hades”. This is the grave. Hell is not the mythological understanding of the Greeks or the Romans or Dante or any who follow after these myths. The translation of sheol or hades should be “the grave”. Let the grave be what it is, “the grave”. Let all the imaginations of men’s minds fall away and may we have spiritual understanding. May our understanding be according to the Spirit of God and true.

Now if there are any who are disagreeable to what I have written, and do not have the resources to examine for themselves all the occurences of these words in the Hebrew and the Greek, I will be glad to add to this post the list of all the passages about “hell in the Old and New Testaments. Let me know.

No, Yeshua did not speak of hell, sheol or the grave” more than any other topic. He spoke of judgment, the judgment of God, many times. And in that same spirit we too give warning, that the day of the Mashiach is at hand! The falling away has already occurred and the man of sin, the antichristos is revealed. He is the betrayer, a thief from the beginning, and he knows not the purpose of God. “I hate the deeds of those who follow Billy Graham”, sayeth Yeshua. Just as Yeshua said in times past, “I hate the deeds of those who follow Nicolas”. For Nicolas was a betrayer, following after Christ in the flesh, and not knowing the purpose of God.

Just one other point, beloved, for those who say all men will be saved, this is not what I am saying. In the grace of God, God desires none to perish, but a few are saved, and all men will live in the end. These thoughts are reconciled in the grace of God. In eternity to come, there are the saved (the few), and the many (the nations of the saved, that bring their glory to the New Yerushalem, and do not enter in.) Many are called, few are chosen. To the few, they have overcome sin, and death and judgment by the grace and will of God. For the many, they taste death and lay in the grave. Yeshua tasted death for all people, especially those who believe in the days of their flesh. For the redeemed He tasted death, that they would never die. For to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. It is true in the understanding of the one true gospel, “in Adam all died: in the Mashiach all are made alive, in God’s own order.” There are vessels of honor, and there are vessels of dishonor.

Why do you use a lds map reference? Are you Latter day saint? If you indeed are;why do you not make this apparent to those whom come to this site?

Teraza, first, please tell me where exactly this reference you speak of is? If I say all denominations are contrary to the Mashiach, certainly Mormonism fits these words and more. Mormonism is against Christ – anti-Christos. If you have read even a small portion of what I write to accuse of being a Mormon in secret shows no spiritual discernment at all. Do you not know the one true gospel. The one true gospel is the Mashiach, Yeshua of Nazareth, died for our sins according to the Old Testament, He was buried and He was raised again the third day according to the Old Testament. Everything I speak I speak in public. No prophecy of the Old Testament is of any private interpretation. The door of the assembly here outside of Detroit is open to whosoever wills. And they who will, do so only by the grace and will of God.
