All understanding comes from the preaching of the one true gospel. And the one true gospel is the Mashiach, Yeshua of “Nazareth” died for our sins according to the Old Testament, He was buried and He rose again the third day according to the Old Testament.
“A bishop (overseer in the grace of God) then must be blameless, the husband of one wife”…”Let the diakonos (servants) be the husband of one wife”. (1 Tim 3)
“And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, let the wife not depart from her husband, but and if she depart, let her remained unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband, and let not the husband put away his wife…But as God has distributed to every one, as the Lord has called every one, so let them walk. And so I ordain in all the assemblies…Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called…Are you bound to a wife? Seek not to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Seek not a wife.” (1 Cor 7)
Beloved, if a man is called by God by the one true gospel (that is, he is a child of grace by the will of God), and he is married to more than one wife, he is to not seek to be loosed from his wives, and he is to not be an overseer in the assembly of God with more than one wife. For if God grants grace to a man who has more than one wife, it is an offensive thing if he ceases to care for his wives. He is not to seek another wife, but he is to be content in the state in which he was called. In the assembly of the living God, if a man have one wife he is not to seek two. He is to be content in the state God called him: married to one woman. If a man has no wife, if he is able (this is no command of the Lord), he should remain single in the present distress (this generation of judgment), but if he cannot contain himself, it is better to marry, than perish in judgment. But remember the unmarried has less burdens than the married. The married cares for the things of the world how he can please his wife, but the unmarried cares for the things that belong to the Lord, how they may please the Lord. But whatever state you are found when God grants you grace, the time is short, use the world and not abuse it, for the form of this world passes away. If you marry you will have trouble in the flesh. And they that have wives be as though they had none, that you would not be distracted from the Lord.
Now you might wonder why I would write concerning this subject of being married to one wife. The assembly of the living God is made up of members of all nations. For the gospel preached to Avraham will be complete in the Mashiach, “in thy seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.” The assembly of the living God is and will be made up of men from all nations, and in some nations, men are married to more than one wife. God does not exclude from grace, a man because he has more than one wife. There is no partiality in the faith of Yeshua ha Mashiach.
